New era for elementary schools
A new multi-academy trust – the Soke Education Trust – has acquired the elementary schools of Werrington, Wittering, John Clare, and Gunthorpe.
School principals said in a statement, "We are pleased to have the opportunity to formally collaborate and work together.
" The principles of trust are based on a fundamental moral leadership that places our learners at the center of our actions.
"Our ambitions are to maintain high performance, empower self-confident learners, and transform life opportunities for all."
Claire Spooner, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said: "It was inevitable that John Clare, Werrington, and Wittering Primary Schools would look like having the advantage of becoming an academy."
This combination was an obvious choice. "
She added," We are delighted to welcome Gunthorpe Primary School in our confidence.
