Boss vows to continue expanding his Bourne business despite the challenges ahead
Despite fears of tough challenges in 2018, the confidence of small businesses in the region is high.
One of Amazon UK and Enterprise Nations hopes are high among local businesses for job creation, sales and profits.
Gabriele Da Re, the Hay Hampers, in Bourne, selling food and beverage baskets to customers worldwide through Amazon Marketplace, said, "Small AMD Medium Large companies like us may not be particularly confident about the conditions for local businesses, however this does not stop us from growing. "
He said that reaching millions of potential customers through e-commerce is contributing to the continued growth of Hay Hampers.
He added, "The ability to trade online has helped Hay Hampers grow into a business with clients around the world."
"Investing in digital tools and services means that SMEs like us are better off are prepared for what the future holds, and these results show that a growing number of companies are committed to technology.
"More than a third of our annual revenue comes from selling through Amazon each year, which shows how important we are to eCommerce and thousands of companies like us across the UK."
