A year full of memories is buried in the parish church

The All Saints Church congregation marked the end of its 800th anniversary by burying a time capsule on Sunday.

The time capsule was specially made for the church by workers at Peter Brotherhoods, and company representatives were present at the service and helped with the funeral of the capsule.

Following a Thanksgiving service, the congregation went outside and offered prayers in the presence of the Rector and church leaders, while the capsule was laid in the ground.

The metal box was full of information and photos of all the special events that the church had organized in 2017, such as a summer party and special christening and wedding birthday services. There was also more general information about the life of the Church in 2017.

The Rev Mark Bridgen said the instructions to be given are for the capsule unearthed during 2117 – when the church celebrates its 900th anniversary ,
